Little Oaks Pre-School opened in January  2003 and  provides pre-school education for children from the age  of two. The Pre-School  is registered with Ofsted to provide care  for up to twenty-four  children.
Children learn through play  and have the opportunity to enjoy  creative work, role-play, arts  and crafts, mathematics, communication skills and  knowledge of  the real world relevant to them.
A voluntary committee of  parents  manages Little Oaks and appropriately qualified and experienced  staff  provides care.
Little  Oaks is open for five sessions each week  throughout local school  term times. We offer single sessions for two year olds  and single  or double sessions for children over three years of age.
Drinks  and light refreshments are provided during the day but children  should bring a  packed lunch if they wish to attend a double session.
Funding  for nursery  education is available for every three and four year  old in Shropshire.  Currently three year olds receive one term's  funding and four year olds receive  three terms funding. This funding  entitles a child to up to five free sessions  per week during term  time.
Little Oaks is a member of the Pre-School Learning  Alliance  and is registered with the local Early Years Development and Childcare  Partnership. The Pre-school contributes to the Partnership overall  planning to  provide education and care throughout the Foundation  Stage.
